Creating a time line

Your wedding day will start quite early in the morning. You will need about 2 hours for preparation, including make up, preparation photography and videography. If your wedding starts at 16:00 guests and groom must be there about 30 minutes earlier. The ceremony itself takes about 15 minutes and pictures with guests, right after the ceremony, about 45 minutes. Cocktail hour is the time after the ceremony when guests have a cocktail and the couple does a photo tour. This usually takes 1,5 hours, so in our example it would be 17:00-18:30. Next is couple’s reentrance at the reception and dinner. Dinner takes about 1,5 hours and it is followed by speeches usually taking a bit less than half an hour, depending on number of speakers. In our example this would lead us to 20:30. There is a chance your photographer will ask you to take some more pictures between courses, or right after dinner, near the sunset time at the venue.
